The
Mountain Top Children’s Museum, Inc. offers a 12 week
summer program packed full of projects, art antics, and crazy
experiments. Come explore nature, create from loose parts,
and use your noodle to figure things out. Each camp week is
based on an exciting theme that offers children opportunities

| Week 1: |
June
4-6 ANIMANIA
Get crazy with creatures and critters of the wild. Become a tracking maniac,
converse with a critter, hunker down in a habitat, and design an animal all your
own. |
| Week 2: |
June
9-13 DOWN TO EARTH
Dig back in time, find fossils and footprints, and create a Jurassic
giant. Go GREEN as we learn about recycling and other ways to
help our planet. Become Mother Nature’s helper and explore
what’s underground. Think like a worm as you dig into your
dirt dessert. |

16-20 GET A CLUE
Become an undercover agent, break the secret codes, investigate
clues, and find treasure. Take a visit downtown and see what
the experts do. Discover hidden pictures and solve the mystery.
Learn about disguises and challenge yourself at the CIA training
course. |

23-27 MEDIEVAL MAYHEM
Build a Mountain Top kingdom and transform into royalty. Create
a catapult, castle, or design a coat of arms. Be a playwright
and conjure up a feast fit for a king. Prepare yourself for the
Mighty Bean Battle. |

30-July 3 SUPER POWERS
Forces will prevail as we experiment with electricity, solar
energy, and the power of water. Manipulate amazing magnets, learn
about lightning and predict the powers of the future. Learn about
vortex generators, make giant smoke rings and flying potatoes. |

July
7-11 MOUNTAIN TOP MEDICAL CENTER
Learn about the human body INSIDE and OUT. You are what you
eat – climb the nutritional pyramid! Find out what’s
inside your head, what makes your heart beat, and how much air
your lungs can hold. Your leg bone’s connected to your
hip bone. |

July
14-18 BOOT CAMP
Find your way with compass and map, learn to be a junior “EMT”.
Survive the group challenge and find out about safety in the
wilderness. End the week with a camp out on Friday night. (Camp
site & times to be announced) |

July
21-25 JUNGLE BOOGIE
Step into the Rainforest world under a canopy. Go on an African
safari, learn about animals of the tropics, and plant a miniature
tropical garden. Explore the Amazon and create a tropical rain
storm. Put the lime in the coconut and mix ‘em both up. |
| Week 9: |
July
28-August 1 CENTER STAGE
Step into the spotlight, create a radio show, and become a movie
star. Make puppets, masks, and props from your imagination and
put on a five star production! Lights, camera, action! |
| Week 10: |
August
4-8 MIX IT UP
It’s slime time as we work with purple potion, mix up a
batch of glup, and stir together some crazy concoctions. Make
fungus among us, learn about molds and spores, and come up with
your own recipe for snot! Experiment with dry ice, make soup
soufflé, and whip up some elephant toothpaste. |

August
11-15 HIGH COUNTRY OLYMPICS
Take part in the very first Olympic Games, lace up your sneakers
and get ready to compete. Get involved in our Get Fit program.
Compete in games from the shot put to the cracker and whistle
race. Everyone wins a Gold medal. |
| Week 12: |
August
18-22 IMAGINEER IT
Enter the world of gadgets and gizmos. Invent and build from
parts and pieces, learn how “stuff” works, become
an architect, and experiment with whatchamacallits and thingamajigs.
Put on your safety goggles and take things apart. |
