Mountain Top Children's Museum is in search of someone amazing to work at our Summer Day Camp.
The position run from June 1st - August 26th, 2020. Both full time and part time positions available. Base wage $13.00 - $15.50 /hr based on experience. End of summer bonus given to employees who stay the entire summer.
The Mountain Top Children’s Museum is seeking dedicated, highly responsible and customer service oriented individuals for the position of Day Camp Program Leader - Summer Seasonal. The individual(s) in this position are responsible for working with children/youth at the Mountain Top Children’s Museum’s Day Camp, primarily ages 5 years – 12 years old. The duties will primarily involve supervising children ensuring positive interaction; maintaining even control and resolving disciplinary problems; planning and leading camper activities and ensuring children/youth are engaged and participating fully. Day Camp Program Leaders are also responsible for interacting with the campers and parents, being accountable for the campers at all times, and operating within State Licensing requirements for the MTCM Summer Camp program. Day Camp Program Leaders are also responsible for adhering to proper check in and checkout procedures; providing excellent customer service and responding to phone and in-person inquiries; and supervising children in the center while providing a fun and safe experience. This position may also be responsible for leading games and activities; providing snacks; assisting children in the restroom; cleaning and sanitizing the work area; and other duties as assigned.

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have received a high School diploma or GED or currently enrolled in High School.
Must have 1 or more years of customer service experience
Must have experience working with children
To qualify for this position the candidate or employee must pass a criminal background check
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire
Highly qualified candidates would have experience working with youth ages 2 months-12 years
1 or more years of customer service experience involving youth participants and communications with their parents/guardians
Ability to work a flexible schedule
College degree in early childhood education, elementary education, special education, family and child development, child psychology or a subject in the human service field
Primary shifts for this position include 4, 9-10 hour shifts between Monday-Friday 7:45 AM-5:45 PM, up to 40 hours a week. Employees will have weekends and one weekday off per week with opportunity for more hours in our Kid's Night Out program.
